What Not to Bring
Not all things are appropriate for camp. Please leave the following things at home.
X Knives or other weapons or weapon-like objects, even if they are toys
X Ipods, CD players, radios, electronic games and devices. (We want campers to “unplug” while here to minimize distractions)
X Cell phones (In an emergency, campers can come to the office. We will help them contact you if necessary. If you need to contact your camper, please call the office.)
One of the most exciting parts of getting ready for camp is deciding what to bring. Here are our suggestions. When considering what clothing to pack keep these things in mind. We are at an elevation of over 8500 feet. Generally temperatures are 10 to 15 degrees cooler than in Colorado Springs. Afternoon thunderstorms are quite common.
Clothing and accessories should be appropriately modest for a Christian Camp. Shorts should be no shorter than midway to the knee. No spaghetti straps or bare midriffs. Graphics on clothing that encourages violence or promote or allude to illegal, questionable, or unwholesome behaviors, such as drugs, alcohol, the occult, or sex are not permitted and will be confiscated and held in the office. Parents may retrieve these items at the end of camp. Please permanently label all items with the camper's first and last name.
